Known as Dumbara mountain by the locals, Knuckles is located off Kandy, in the northern end of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. It is one of the most beautiful nature attractions of the island and was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. The terrain of grasslands and rugged mountain peaks scattered with streams and waterfalls that cover an area of 18512 hectares, Knuckles mountain range is a biodiversity hotspot supporting 128 species of birds, 20 species of amphibians, 53 species of reptiles, 15 fresh water species and 31 mammal species making it a trekker’s paradise.

The only facilitator of a glamping experience among other Knuckles mountain range hotels, Wild Glamping is located 1½ Km off Thangappuwa which is the main entrance to the Knuckles Mountain Range from Theldeniya via Kandy. Clients will be picked up by our staff 4km before the campsite from “New Division Hindu Temple” in Thangappuwa and will be transferred to the site by 4*4 vehicles as the route is rough, narrow and winding.
